Corey L. Sheets, 49, of Hughesville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at his home. Corey was born March 11, 1971 in Alamogordo, N.M., and was the son of the late Collins L. and Doris M. (Loseth) Sheets.

Corey most recently worked as a butcher, cook and caterer at Don Waltman’s meat and deli. He loved greeting and working with the routine customers who became his friends. He took pride in his position and was well-respected for his work ethic, customer service skills, kindness to others and smile. The people he worked with became family to him. He assisted in many local caterings around Lycoming county throughout the holidays. A quiet, loner of a person, his presence will always be huge in the hearts of his families and others who knew him. Corey was previously a manager for Border’s book store, Sam’s Club and worked at TJ Market. He loved his nieces and nephews, Becky, Christian, Amy, TJ, Samantha, Lissa and Tessa; as well as great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.

Corey loved to ski, be outdoors, hunt, fish and be in the mountains. His love of nature and simple things is what made him happy. May he fly high above seeing eternal beauty.

He is survived by; two sisters, Shelly L. Sheets of Hughesville, and Debbie L. (Jeffrey) Brown of Hughesville, two brothers, Jeffrey W. (Annette) Sheets of Muncy, and Gary A. (Stacy) Sheets of Eustis, Fla., and by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Corey was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Pamella Chilson Sheets.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
