Claudia Jeane Barnes, 76, of Picture Rocks, died Thursday, February 27, 2025, at UPMC Muncy Hospital.

Born July 28, 1948, in Eagles Mere, she was a daughter of the late Willard, Jr. and Edith (Kisinger) Stevens.

Following her education, Claudia worked at the Sullivan County Medical Center for 18 years. Outside of work she was an avid member of the Laporte Volunteer Fire Company where she was an EMT. With her time in the ambulance service, she became an assistant ambulance captain and later became the captain. She volunteered at the Department of Emergency Services in Laporte, as well at the Sullivan County Food Pantry in Forksville. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and completing jig saw puzzles.

She is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth A. Kennedy, of Williamsport, Nancy Falls, of Muncy, and Melanie Stevens, of Williamsport; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Barnes; and two brothers, Donald Stevens and Robert Stevens.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Eagles Mere Cemetery, 133 Country Club Road, Eagles Mere, PA 17731, with Pastor Martin Coffey, officiating.
