Christine C. Coleman, 90, of Montoursville, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.
Born November 25, 1934, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Casper) Yucha.
Christine was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a volunteer at Divine Providence Hospital. She was a champion Texas Holdem player who also enjoyed playing bingo and going to casinos. But mostly, Christine cherished her many close friends and family who she spent time enjoying these activities with. Her family is very grateful for the outpouring of support from her circle of friends over the past years. Christine loved her friends, and they loved her back.
She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Coleman, of Montoursville; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Himes, of Florida ; a sister, Maryanne Barsh, of New York; two brothers; Dennis (Sherri) Yucha, of Elysburg, and Greg Yucha, of Coal Township; three grandchildren, Michael (Hilary Truchan) Weber, of Illinois, Chase Coleman, of New York, and Madeline Coleman, of Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Adeline Truchan and Natalie Truchan.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her spouse, John Coleman; a son, Darren Coleman; and a brother, Matthew Yucha.
Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday November 4, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 800 Mulberry Street, Montoursville with Rev. Sean Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Christine’s name and sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Church at the address above.
