Christina Lee Rafter, 57, of South Williamsport passed peacefully surrounded by family at UPMC Williamsport after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Williamsport on June 7, 1967, a daughter to the late Edgar Halderman and Clara F. (Greenabaum) Bennett.

Christina worked as an office manager for Kent A. Bennett & Associates Insurance Office for 37 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 617 Royal Steinbacher, the VFW Post 7863 Leroy O. Buck, as well as the Polish Club. She enjoyed trips to the casino, wineries, cruises and all inclusives. She was an avid watcher of the ID channel. She had a passion for cooking and always enjoyed spending time with friends especially her best friends, Lori, Joe and Mick. She loved animals, especially her cats Mr. Boogers and Lucy.

Her loving husband of 24 years, Robert L. Rafter Jr. preceded her in death on October 24, 2022.

She is survived by daughter, Shelby L. (John) Cupp of South Williamsport; step-father Kent Bennett of Muncy; grandsons Benjamin and Sebastian Cupp; a sister Amy (Nicholas) Barker of Bloomfield Hill, MI; and aunts Gloria (Rod) Frantz, Delores Greenabaum and Betty Records.

In addition to her parents and husband, Christina was preceded in death by her grandparents; her aunt Judy Klopp; uncles Alfred Records and Thomas Greenabaum.

Per Christina’s request, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
