Chloe Mae (Jenkins) Walker, departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday December 1, 2023. Born September 30, 1938, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Parker O. and Florence (Diggs) Jenkins.
Chloe was a graduate of Williamsport High School class of 1956. She was the loving wife of the late Donald E. Walker Sr. for 34 years. Chloe was a homemaker and neighborhood matriarch who volunteered as the president of the Lose Elementary PTO and the Church of the Savior Lutheran afterschool program. She was an original member of the “Let’s Do It Again” reunion committee where she served as the secretary.
Chloe was a sister of Deborah Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Mayflower Chapter #18 where she served the chair of Esther. She was a daughter of Nancy Wiley Wilson Temple #1036. She was a member of Saint John’s Newberry United Methodist Church. Chloe was an avid reader of romance novels. She enjoyed sports and was a huge fan of the New York Giants.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dara Walker and a brother, Parker P. Jenkins.
Left to cherish Chloe’s precious memory are, four children: Nina (Frank) Seawright, Scot Walker, Donald (Jenn) Walker and Leaha (Matthew) Johnson; three grandchildren, Larissa (Varmuyah) Sirleaf, Jordan (Katie) Walker and Kiarra Johnson; one great- grandson Parker Sirleaf and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 16, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport.
