Charlie M. Bahr, 74

Charlie M. Bahr, 74, of Dushore, passed away March 2, 2025, at Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Born October 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Raymond B. and Virginia (Lewis) Bahr and stepmother, Betty (Wildrick) Bahr. He married Sandra Kay (Ross) Bahr on May 14, 1977, and added their daughter, Jacklyn Rae Bahr, November 11, 1996. Charlie was a well-known local carpenter/mason, but more notably known for his local potato crops every year on Dutch Mountain Road in Dushore. He was an avid beaver trapper along all the local ponds and lakes, even helping the game commission with nuisance beavers. Charlie graduated from Sullivan County High School in 1969, and went to Williamsport Area Community College (Pennsylvania College of Technology) where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Carpentry & Masonry.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, at home and daughter, Jackie, of Williamsport. He is also survived by his siblings: Louise (Elwood) Stackhouse of Benton and Lester (Roger Whitley) Bahr of Allentown; sister-in-law, Sheila (Alan) Wilsey, brother-in-law, Charles (Shelly) Ross, and nieces: Jamie (Joseph) Alba, and Ashley Ross along with many extended aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents and stepmother, he was predeceased in death by his In-laws William (Buster) and Marilyn Y. Ross and uncles Alfred & Carl Bahr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 10th, 2025, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Homes, 119 Carpenter St., Dushore, with Rev. Robert W. Brown, officiating. Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Dushore. Friends may call on Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and due to his values in education, they suggest memorial contributions to Penn College Foundation DIF 65, Pennsylvania College of Technology, 1 College Ave, Williamsport, PA 17701 in memory of Charlie M. Bahr.
