Charlene S. “Charlie” (Stine) Bankes, 50

Charlene S. “Charlie” (Stine) Bankes, 50, of Berwick passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Williamsport on November 10, 1968, she was a daughter of Diane K. (Howell) Griffin and Charles S. Stine, both of Williamsport. Charlie attended Williamsport High School and McCann School of Business. She previously worked at Wise Snacks in Berwick, and Del Monte Foods and RR Donnelly, both in Bloomsburg. She was currently employed at Traffic Regulators in Wilkes-Barre.

She was a former member of Mt View Community Church, White Haven and attended LCBC, Bloomsburg. Charlie liked shopping for antiques, and she was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Theodore “Ted” F Bankes, Jr with whom she spent the past 22 years; children: Amanda Bankes Hess and husband Adam, Nescopeck; Philip Bankes and wife Linsey, Berwick; McKenzie Johnson and husband Tony, WA; Joshua Rice and wife Tiffany, SC; Coral Skye Goodrich and partner Lina Legette, SC; 9 grandchildren: Mychaela, Arianna, Ryan, Olivia, Brock, Brody, Christopher and Lincoln. She also leaves behind her step-mother, Ruby Stine, Williamsport; sisters: Yvonne Neifwonger and husband Matt, Williamsport; Christine Helton and husband Ronald, SC; Leslie Hamilton and husband Donald, S Williamsport; Jessica Caldwell, Bath; Jody Ross and wife Barbara, S Williamsport; Lindsey Morgan and husband Michael, Williamsport; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Natalie; aunt, Debra; and niece, Brittany.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck followed by a funeral service. Pastor Brook Selby will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House, 100 North Academy Avenue and Care Lane, Danville, PA 17821-0300.
