Carrie Lee Fornwalt, 86

Carrie Lee Fornwalt, 86, of Watsontown, passed away peacefully with her loving niece, Beth Martin, by her side on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 2, 1938 in Delaware Twp., she was a daughter of the late Willard and Ethel (Shaeffer) Fornwalt.

Carrie was a graduate of Milton High School and later worked and retired from Milco in Bloomsburg. While working a Milco she was able to travel and live in Costa Rica for a year. She enjoyed country concerts, especially seeing her favorite artist George Strait, and loved attending the Benton Rodeo. She was an excellent baker, making her famous elderberry, apple and peach pies, as well as making her own beef jerky.

Most of all she loved being with her entire family and would never miss a family picnic or function. She loved going on shopping trips with the family and attending as many sporting events as possible to support her family. Carrie lived a full fun life and had a wild spirit enjoying all the memories she could make.

Carrie is survived by many nieces and nephews; a large network of extended family; and her best friend, Ann Marie Kepner.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her five brothers: Harold, Henry, Paul, Carl, and Marvin Fornwalt; and three sisters: Nora M. Black, Jennie Kurtz, and Bessie Worthington.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests everyone to listen to the favorite country song and attend a local rodeo in remembrance of Carrie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville. To share a memory or condolence for the family please visit, http://www.wfbrooksfuneralhome.com
