C. Suzanne Butters, 84

C. Suzanne Butters, 84, of Williamsport, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at The Williamsport Home with her adoring husband of 67 years, Donald W. Butters, at her side.

Born October 5, 1940, in Williamsport, Suzie was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Maudie M. Hart. She has two sisters, Mary E. Gray of Montoursville and Shirley M. Brosious (Dannie) of Abington, PA. Suzie attended Williamsport Area High School. She and Donnie married on August 8, 1957, and she took great pride in raising their five children and keeping a beautiful home.

Suzie enjoyed many years as part of the women’s bowling league. She loved to attend her children’s school and sporting events, and as her children grew and got married, she adored traveling and spending time with them and her grandchildren. She found joy in reading, decorating, planting flowers, creating fresh flower arrangements, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five children: Barbara Hoover (Craig) of South Williamsport and their children, Terra Deyo (Chris), Troy Winner, Jessica Stansberry (Jay), and Justin Hoover (Kerry); James Butters (Jeanie) of Jacksonville, FL and their children, Tina Hellum (Cody) and Robert Oehler (Jamie); Joni Perchinski (Frank) of Montoursville and their children, Heather Higgins (Robert) and Joshua Perchinski (Lauren); Laurie Crane (Kevin) of Cogan Station and their children, Samantha Solomon (Kyle), Marissa Baux (Matthew), and Jessica Crane; Todd Butters of Williamsport and his son, Andrew Butters; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Stephen Butters and Matthew Perchinski.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a service to honor the life of Suzie at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Autism Speaks.
