Betty Jane Cawley, 91, a resident of Montgomery, PA, passed away at her residence on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Born March 25, 1927 at Bryantown, Lycoming Co.., PA she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Althea Margaret (O’Conner) George. She was the widow of Robert L. Cawley who preceded her in death on September 27, 2015.

She was formerly employed by the former Milton Shoe Factory, Montgomery Mills and the West Company.

Betty enjoyed visits from her family and friends, enjoyed outdoor activities, playing checkers and chess with her grandchildren, computer games and 500 Rummy with anyone willing.

She is survived by four children, Larry N. and wife Jane Rupert of Montgomery; Dennis L. and wife Bonnie Rupert of Milton; Alan D. and Sue Cawley of Millville; Judy A. and husband Dave Bennage of Watsontown; 7 Grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Highland Cemetery at New Columbia with CLP Charles W. North IV of the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church at Pottsgrove, officiating. if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
