Barbara A. “Barb” Kindlimann, 85

Barbara A. “Barb” Kindlimann, 85, of Trout Run, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Charles T. “Dutch” Kindlimann, on June 25, 2007.

Born September 1, 1938, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Arthur N. Trimble, Sr. and G. Elizabeth (Griggs) Trimble.

Barb attended a one room school house at Rose Valley, where she grew up. She graduated one year early by passing the 8th grade equivalency exam after completing 7th grade. She was a 1955 graduate of Montoursville High School. She previously worked at the Grit, Sylvania and Springs Window Fashions, and retired after working as a clerk during auctions.

Barb was a member of Rose Valley United Methodist Church, where she was active in choir, Bible study and Sunday school. Barb also loved volunteering as a Girl Scout leader, the American Cancer Society or by helping out a neighbor.

Surviving are her children, Charles T. “Chuck” Kindlimann Jr. of Rose Valley, Joni A. Case (Timothy) of Cogan Station, Elizabeth A. Emerick (Joe Reigherd) of Cascade, and Ashley R. Christ (Randy) of Montoursville; five grandchildren, Joshua and Jonathan Emerick, Natalie Smith and Nicholas and Colt Christ; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Stella, and Conner Smith, and Wyatt Emerick; a brother, Franklin G. Trimble (Kaye) of Cogan Station; and two sisters, June L. Wagner of New York and Gladys M. Dunkle (Walter) of Jersey Shore.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kylee E. Case; six brothers, James H., William O., Arthur N. Jr., Robert E., Charles A. and Bruce L. Trimble; and three sisters; Frances L. Barnard, Adele R. Walter, and Margaret E. Hall.

A funeral service to honor the life of Barb will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Rose Valley United Methodist Church 5121 Rose Valley Rd., Trout Run with Pastor Ellie D. Benna officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Valley Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport and 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Rose Valley United Methodist Church.
