Arthur J. Albertson, 100, of Delaware Twp., Watsontown, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025 at his home.
Born June 27, 1925 in Dewart, he was a son of the late Judson A. and Violet A. (Burrows) Albertson. On June 27, 1945 he married the former Anna E. Laidacker and together they celebrated 78 years of marriage until her passing on July 14, 2023.
Arthur was employed by Chemical Leaman Tank Lines, Eck’s Garage in Muncy, and was still pumping gas at Dewart Service Station up until 90 years of age. He was a former masters of the Teamsters in Buffalo NY. Also he was a member of St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watsontown.
He was a Mr Fix-It typer and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and tinkering around. Most of all he loved spend time with his entire family.
Arthur is survived by a daughter: Deidre A. Rathmell, of Watsontown; two grandchildren: Ross D. (Cher) Rathmell, of Watsontown; and Kelly D. (Jeff) Klinger, of Sunbury; four great-grandchildren: Eric (Shelly) Egli, Kara Kerstetter, Cody (Eryn) Rathmell, and Trista Rathmell; and three great-great-grandchildren: Sophie Kerstetter, Chase Kerstetter, and Catherine Egli.
Besides his wife, Anna, and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond “Pete” and George W. Albertson; and four sisters: Helen Albertson, Laura Burns, Lena Kilgus, and Mary Taylor.
Per his wishes services and burial will be held privately in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
