Arlene M. Weaver, 94, of Montoursville, died December 13, 2019, at The Gatehouse.
She was born November 18, 1925, in Dubois, a daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy (Mann) Swanson.
Arlene retired from C.E. McCall Middle School, in Montoursville, where she was a secretary and library aide. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Muncy Valley Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered there. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Weaver, Sr. and her son, Donald F. Weaver, Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith (Luther) Lunt, of Montoursville and Sharon (James) Goss, of Montoursville; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Weaver, of Greensville, SC; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lunt, Stephanie (John) Lundy, Shellie Richter, John McKissick, Jr., Alex Weaver, and Jeanne Weaver; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Rebekah, and Lillian.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
