Anthony F. “Saint” Williams, 74

Anthony F. “Saint” Williams, an inspirational and devoted man, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on July 21, 2024, at Williamsport North Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born on March 31, 1950, in Philadelphia, Anthony lived a life full of vigor, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community.

Anthony’s career as an instructor for CDL licensing was more than just a job; it was a passion. He loved teaching others and also relished every moment driving his truck, feeling the open road beneath him. His interests extended beyond his professional life; he had a profound love for car racing, not only owning his own racecar but also frequently attending races at Pocono Downs. Saint’s zest for life was evident in his love for dancing, his keen fashion sense marked by his collection of hats, and most importantly, the joy he derived from sharing a great meal with his beloved family.

He was a proud member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Williamsport and was known for his selfless acts of kindness, always extending a helping hand to his community, especially in projects that aided the handicapped. He and his wife took people in from the city for over 30 years and helped them change their lives for the better; guiding them on their new paths. Theresa and Anthony always kept their door open. His generosity and willingness to assist others left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

On August 12, 1995, Anthony married the love of his life, Theresa Evans, and together they shared 28 beautiful years. He and Theresa came upon Kevin, Rashawn, Moses, Gloria and Maliah and took them in with loving and open arms, raising them as their own. Theresa and Anthony’s love for each other knew no boundaries. Their love was unique and immeasurable.

Saint leaves behind a large and loving family. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his sons, Anthony “Juice” Williams (Maria), Maurice Williams, Troy Williams, Kevin Williams (Mallory), Rashawn Williams, Moses Anthony Williams, Wil Ansen Williams, and Ernie L. Jones; and his daughters, Gloria Mallory and Maliah A. Williams. He was a cherished grandfather to a multitude of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, including a special grandson, Anthony, and a special nephew who was like a son, also named Anthony. He will be deeply missed by his two aunts, Eva Dixon and Caroline Dunn, chosen sister, Gwendolyn Muldrow, chosen daughter, Debbie Stone-Anderson, brother-in-law, Tony Moore, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Camay (Dunn) Williams, and his sister, Hilda Candy Moore.

Saint’s homegoing celebration will be held at noon on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Love Unlimited Ministries, 734 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Senior Pastor Isaac Evans officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a public visitation from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the church.
