Anna Ruth Hennessey, 96

Anna Ruth Hennessey, 96, of Lock Haven passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing, Lock Haven.

Born February 13, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Anna Margaret Griffin Hennessey.
Anna Ruth graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in 1940.

She started working at the Lock Haven Trust Co. as a School Savings Teller until it was discontinued and then became a regular teller. Anna Ruth retired from Mellon Bank after 44 years.

Anna Ruth was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church participating in their Holly Mart, Fish Fries and as a money counter.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Emmaus and a Charter Member of Our Lady of Knock Ladies as well as the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

She is survived by nephews and niece, Dr. Paul F. (Rose Marie) Fahey of Scranton, Frank (Grace) Fahey of Punta Gorda, Fl., Christopher (Christine) Fahey of State College, Michael Myers (partner, Peter Cerra) of Hamilton, NJ, Kathleen A. Myers of Mill Hall, and Dennis Hennessey of Pittsburgh.

A service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anna Ruth’s name may be made to Holy Spirit Parish, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
