Ann L. Gaines, 72 of Williamsport died Wednesday April 16, 2025 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.

Born Oct 4, 1952 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Stanley A. and Margaret M. Dincher Chopick.

Ann attended Williamsport High School, and previously was employed by Wegmans. Although no children of her own, Ann gave all her love and attention to her nieces and nephews who she helped raise, and gained that coveted title “2nd mother”. Her other interests included shopping, eating out, playing cards – solitaire, and spending time with her family.

Ann is survived by her siblings, Joseph Chopick (Nancy), and Barbara Stackhouse both of Williamsport, nieces and nephews, Steven Gallew, Nicci Carter (Dave), Brett Stackhouse (Gladys), Kurt Stackhouse, Erika Goode (Jeffrey), Dawn Bertin, Rusty Bickel and many great nieces and nephews.

Respecting Ann’s wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ann was always deeply loved by her family, her laughter and personality will be missed and she will remain in our hearts forever.
