Ann E. Baier, 93, of Bastress Twp., passed away peacefully at her home on Dec. 17, 2022.
Ann was born in the Nippenose Valley on April 14, 1929, a daughter of Eugene H. and Lena (Winter) Moore.
She was a devout Catholic and an active member of Immaculate Conception of the BVM Catholic Church.
She was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School. A homemaker, she was devoted to caring for her family, and 19 foster children.
Her husband of 55 years, Charles A. Baier, died Feb. 11, 2005.
Surviving are her children and their families; Sharon M. Miller (Parvin) of Elimsport, Carol A. Hetler of Montoursville, John W. Baier with whom she lived, Ronald E. Baier (Mary) of Oval, Debora R. Isaacson (John) of Hardeeville, SC, Michelle L. Steinbacher (Kurt) of Salladasburg, Joseph M. Baier of Williamsport, daughter-in-law Karen Baier of Bastress; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; a foster daughter Shirley Wilson of Glenn Burnie, MD; siblings, Geraldine Hamm of Montoursville and Leonard Moore of SC.
In addition to her parents and her husband, sons, Paul M. Baier (infant) and David C. Baier, a son-in-law, James Hetler and siblings, Bernard Moore, Eugene Moore, Margaret (Sis) Darling, Dorothy Sommers, Mary Wrench and Carl Moore all preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Rd. Williamsport, PA 17702 on December 28th at 11:00 am with her pastor Rev. Bert Kozen officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be made to Immaculate Conception Church building fund.
