Angeline R. (Farnsworth) Hower, 83

Angeline R. (Farnsworth) Hower, 83, of Williamsport, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at The Gatehouse.

Born May 6, 1941 in Williamsport she was the daughter of the late William L. and Mary J. (Castrogiovvani) Farnsworth.

Angie graduated from Williamsport Area High School. She married the love of her life, Kenneth L. Hower on July 14, 1959 and together they shared 61 beautiful years until his passing on March 5, 2021.

Angie worked for 22 years at the Williamsport Presbyterian Home. She was a woman who enjoyed traveling, cooking, getting together with her family for the holidays, and loved to be around animals.

Above all else, Angie was a family-oriented matriarch of her family, spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that her family will always remember.

She is survived by two beloved sons, Craig L. Hower of Atlanta, Ga., and Michael S. Hower (Lynne) of Imperial; two grandchildren who she was extremely proud of; Nicholas J. and Alicia M. Hower; a brother, Gary A. Farnsworth (Linda) of Williamsport; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Farnsworth.

A graveside service to honor Angie’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Angie’s name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o The Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
