The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra (WSO) is excited to announce an upcoming partnership with the Hughesville Area Public Library (HAPL) for the organization’s first outdoor concert of the season to take place on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville. Activities start at 6:00 p.m.; Fairgrounds open at 5:30 p.m.

The concert will feature a carefully curated selection of music from some of the most iconic movies of all time, including Frozen, The Magnificent Seven, Titanic, Star Wars and much more. Attendees can expect a vibrant mix of classical and contemporary repertoire, performed by the talented musicians of the WSO.

The event is free and open to the public, making it a perfect activity for families. Children of all ages will be able to participate in many fun activities from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets or chairs to enjoy the beautiful evening while listening to music.

“We are thrilled to offer this free, family-friendly outdoor concert in collaboration with the Hughesville Area Public Library,” said Hind Jabbour, WSO Director of Operations. “It is an excellent opportunity to bring our community together to enjoy some of the most beloved music from films and connect with one another in a relaxed atmosphere.”
