A retail craft and vendor show will take place at a unique location — Simply Savor on the Fly, a café at the Williamsport Regional Airport, on Saturday, November 26 from 9:00 am.to 3:00 p.m.
How did this all come about?
Simply Savor on the Fly is a cafe in the Williamsport Regional Airport. They were approved by Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority and Executive Director Richard Howell after contacting him about hosting a monthly Fly In Breakfast or Lunch for private pilots.
Tracey Bartholomew, owner of Simply Savor on the Fly, asked if she could also promote it as a retail and craft vendor show that would include the monthly Fly In Breakfast and Lunch. Then the event would be promoted to both private pilots and the public.
Bartholomew and Terry Garner, manager of Simply Savor on the Fly, had been selling their Simply Savor Cookies for the last couple years at craft shows and local businesses and knew there was a large number of local vendors and businesses that could benefit from a monthly air market to showcase their products.
“We saw it as a win–win,” Bartholomew told Webb Weekly. “Pilots would have a wonderful meal and event to Fly into at the Williamsport Regional Airport and the public would have a beautiful location to come and support local businesses and vendors while seeing private aircrafts.”
As of November 10th, the Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority approved Simply Savor on the Fly to host a monthly Fly Into Air Market on the last Saturday of every month.
The next Air Market event after this one will be Saturday, December 31st.
