Happy Halloween…

There’s a goblin at my window,
a monster at my door.
The pumpkin at my table, keeps smiling more and more.
There’s a ghost who haunts my bedroom,
a witch whose face is green.
They used to be my family, till they dressed for Halloween.

Pssssssst! Hey kids! C’mere! Got something to tell y’all! (Parental figures, please skip the next paragraphs.)

OK, are they gone? Good!

Alright littles, let’s talk about how to maximize your Halloween this year. First, on Wednesday head downtown for Williamsport Business Association’s downtown Trick-or-Treat from 4-6 p.m. Then, on Friday, you are going to get the ‘rents to take you to the Crosscutters’ Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat. It runs from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Bowman Field. OK, then, on Sunday, ask them to take you to Jersey Shore for Bald Birds Brewing Trick-or-Treat that starts at 2:00 p.m. If you are feeling frisky, get them to take you to Muncy, for Trunk-or-Treat by Families United Network on Sunday, Oct. 30, 1:30-4 p.m. at 145 Ashler Manor Dr. Then, of course, you have regular trick-or-treating on Monday for actual Halloween. There are also a few other trunk-or-treats listed on our Community Calendar on pages 22 & 23, if you’ve been really, really, good the past few weeks. Oh, and brush your teeth when you get home, I don’t need all the local dentists mad at me!

In case you are curious — the final total was 101 Ghouls. There were 53 in the October 12th edition and 48 in the October 19th edition. There must have been one particular ghoul that was hard to find, so I also included the 100 entries in the drawing too.

We want to offer our sincerest thanks to everyone who entered! Because of all your counting, we will be donating $500 to LAPS! Seriously, y’all are amazing! I received a ton of entries in this year’s contest! And as always, thank you to Jimmy for always giving a little extra in these contests! The kitties appreciate it!

One Last Bit of Halloween

There will be people out celebrating Halloween all weekend long, so please be careful. Between Uber and Lyft there is no reason not to have a safe ride home, so please be careful out there!

Don’t forget to be extra cautious if you are on your way home from work after 6 p.m. on Monday. Kids get excited and stop paying attention, so you need to be their eyes and ears.

Everyone wants their Halloween festivities to be fun, but it is important that trick-or-treaters and their chaperones prioritize safety as well.

Be sure to check out Lou’s story on page 6 for all the places to get candy this weekend, as well as tips to make your Halloween as safe as possible!
