An exciting line-up of name musical acts highlights the 164th edition of the Bloomsburg Fair to be held from September 20 to 28. These acts include such Country-Western stalwarts as the Oak Ridge Boys and Toby Keith, as well as talented Gospel star, Amy Grant, with her opening act, We Are Messengers. The rock and roll side will feature Foreigner with Loverboy and Cheap Trick. The musical entertainment will also include Rival Sons and Old Dominion with Brandon Lay.
Rival Sons will be on September 20th at 8:00 p.m.
Amy Grant performs on September 21st at 7:00 p.m.
The Oakridge Boys show is on the 23rd at 6:00 p.m.
Cheap Trick hits the stage the 24th at 7:30 p.m.
Old Dominion, with special guest Brandon Lay, is the 26th at 7:30 p.m.
Foreigner and Loverboy both play Friday, September 27th at 7:30 p.m.
And finally Toby Keith is set to play Saturday the 28th at 7:30 p.m.
Of course, no Bloomsburg Fair is complete without an exciting Demolition Derby, as well as a Modified Full-Sized Truck/SUV Derby with Figure 8 Racing and Mini Van Derby, and Fairfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Muncy and Danville will be presenting the Full Production Inc. Sanctioned Tractor and Truck Pulls.
There will also be a wide variety of free entertainment available at the fair as well. It includes local favorite, Aaron Kelly, live Karaoke every day at the fair, the Coal Town Boys, The Muckdogs, John Stanky and the Coal Miners, the Greenwood Valley Boys, Chris Ruble, Into the Spin, the John Taylor Polka Band, Presley and Taylor, Sapphire, Rick K and the Allnighters, Make Mine Country, the 70s Flashback, A.C. Jones, First Columbia Teen Stars and Brad ‘Comedy Hypnotist’ Matchett.
There will also be a Fiddle Contest on the 24th at 6:30 p.m., a Barbershop Quartet Contest on the 25th at 6:30 p.m., and a Banjo Contest. All will take place at the free stage.
Exciting harness racing on the fairground’s racetrack will kick off the fair when the Pennsylvania Stakes Harness Race will be held on September 20 and 21.
The First Columbia Teen Stars will preform at the Bandshell on the 28th at 6:30 p.m.
There will be of course the usual various agricultural and educational exhibits, various amusement rides, an antique tractor parade, arts and crafts and of course a plethora of food vendors.
More than 400,000 people attended last year’s 163rd edition of the annual Bloomsburg Fair.
