Williamsport- The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will welcome everyone back to its first Coffee Hour since June with a ‘Show and Tell’. It will be held in the Community Room of the museum, on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10am. The program is free and open to the public.
Guests are invited to bring in an example of their collecting interest or passion or a treasured memento from their past. The item could be a toy from their childhood, examples from their collection, something passed down from generation to generation, or something that tells a story. And we hope they are willing to share it with the friends who gather that morning. The best story or most unusual artifact may win a prize! And if you don’t have something to share, come anyway. We always have coffee and snacks!
The ‘Show and Tell’ is part of a Lecture Series which features Collections and Collecting, Crafts and Craftspeople, and Decorative Arts. The next lecture follows on Sunday, September 15 at 2:00pm and will feature Ron Roan of Roan’s Auction House talking about some of the highlights of the many auctions held at Roan’s. The lecture series is underwritten through a generous grant from the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts.
The museum is located at 858 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, and ample parking may be found on the parking lot behind the museum or on the street. For further information, please call 570.326.3326 or consult our website at http://www.tabermuseum.org.
