PPL employees from the Montoursville Service Center volunteered time to help distribute food to families at the Salvation Army in Williamsport. The Salvation Army serves families in need with their annual Christmas food box including nonperishables, fruit and a frozen turkey or chicken. The Salvation Army also distributes toys from the Marines’ Toys For Tots program in which PPL team members participate. “Because of donors and volunteers like the team from PPL, hundreds of families have a special meal to share,” says Major Paula Spencer.  PPL employees periodically take part in volunteer activities to give back to the communities in which it does business; in 2017, PPL employees volunteered 8000 hours.
