Always give thanks for the things you have, because what you have might not be what someone else has. You might have a nice source of entertainment, but the other person might not have nice things and can’t get access to the Internet.
Always give thanks for the food that you eat. You might eat three meals a day, but someone else might not even get to eat one meal a day.
Always give thanks for the shelter you inhabit. Some people have families and don’t even have a place to live and can’t afford things like school or medicines for themselves and other people that they care for.
Always give thanks for the clothes you wear, because you wear coats, jackets, and shoes that keep you warm and comfortable. Meanwhile, people who can’t afford those things have to suffer the gruesome cold winters and other things, like rain and snow.
But we should also give thanks to food banks and homeless shelters, because when we can’t afford to donate and help, they can. Therefore, we should always give thanks because you might have something, but another might not.
