Camp Susque, a Christian residential camp located in Trout Run, PA, is hosting their 3rd annual Harvest Festival and Trail Run event on September 22. Admission to the event is free and it runs from 9am-4pm. The Harvest Festival is a full day of great food, live music, demonstrations, local craft and business vendors, and a Kid’s Zone full of numerous free activities for children. This year a children’s stage has been added to include scheduled activities for children throughout the day. Music, folk dancing, crafts, science toys and Pop Up creative play are scheduled. It all kicks off with a 5k and 10k Trail Run and a short fun run for the whole family!
Last year’s Harvest Festival drew nearly 2000 people and this year promises to be even more successful. The Camp’s Director, Peter Swift, said of the event, “The Harvest Festival is a sort of open house for us. It is a perfect occasion for the public to come enjoy the Camp and all it has to offer, including our Susque hospitality!” Camp Susque’s Director of Marketing, Jamie Sanders, said “Former campers and staff members of all ages enjoy it as a homecoming of sorts. Many people had a great childhood experience at Camp Susque and never have the occasion to return as they become adults. The Harvest Festival is a great time to meet up with friends old and new!”
