The Williamsport Crosscutters open their 2018 season at BB&T Ballpark under returning manager Pat Borders, Friday, June 15 as they host the State College Spikes at 7:05pm. Opening Night 2018 is presented by River Valley Transit & KISS 102.7. Opening Night will feature a free schedule magnet for all fans plus a post-game fireworks show.
Tickets for Opening Night are still available. Fans may order online at Crosscutters.com/Tickets, via phone at (570) 326-3389 or in-person at BB&T Ballpark Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 10am-2pm and on Opening Day from 9am-3pm.
8th Annual Cutters 5K Race Set for June 23
The Williamsport Crosscutters, in partnership with the Children’s Development Center, will be holding the 8th Annual Cutters 5K on Saturday, June 23rd at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.
The race, through Williamsport’s West End, begins at 9 a.m. with registration open at 8 a.m. The course has runners starting outside the ballpark entrance with the final sprint around the field on the stadium’s warning track. Both runners and walkers are encouraged to take part in the event. All proceeds from the event benefit the Children’s Development Center of Williamsport.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place runners in seven male and female age categories with the first-place runners having the opportunity to throw out ceremonial first pitches at the Williamsport Crosscutters game on June 30th. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three male and female walkers. The event also features the always entertaining Kids Fun Run, free for children age 10 and under. All children participating will receive an award.
Registration is $15 in advance and $20 on race day. All participants registering by June 11 are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Happy Hours at BB&T Ballpark
Wednesday is the new Friday! The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced the return of Hump Day Happy Hours at BB&T Ballpark this summer. The non-game day events, presented by Boom City Brewing Co., take place on select Wednesdays until September 26. Each Hump Day Happy Hour runs from 5pm-8pm on the UPMC Loggers Landing, located down the right field line. Each happy hour event features live music, full bar and food service plus $1 drafts and $1 hot dogs. There is no admission charge. Hump Day Happy Hours are held weather permitting.
