A first-of-its-kind event for this area will take place this weekend, November 4 and 5 when the Central PA-ranormal Convention is held at the Pajama Factory. The event will feature various speakers, presentations, and vendors dealing with the mysterious world of the paranormal.
“This event is the first of its kind in the city of Williamsport and is a pure-fundraising event aiding the South Williamsport High School Travel Club, John Covey, Event Host, told Webb Weekly. “The club is taking an educational trip abroad to Europe in June 2018 to learn the languages, lifestyles, and cultures of the French and Italians. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that not many get to experience so we are very glad to help! Personally, I am the Team Leader of the Junior Investigating Paranormal Society (J.I.P.S.) based in South Williamsport. We are known as the ‘first national paranormal organization created and ran by teens’. We have investigated all across the state and have decided to give back to our community by aiding our schools. The idea behind this convention is to pick a local club/organization each year to raise funds for.”
He said during the event, they will have various vendors, guest speakers including: Bill & Kristin Reap (REAP Investigations), Melissa Leeper (known Demonologist), and Paul Dixon and Tina Williamson (Psychic Detective), a silent auction of different paranormal memorabilia including: autographed portraits of Grant Wilson & Dustin Pari (“Ghost Hunters” TV Show — Syfy Network), Bill Hartley (“Ghosts of Shepherdstown” TV Show — Destination America), and so much more! They will also be conducting the first ever paranormal investigation of the, claimed to be haunted, Pajama Factory.
“There are many individuals out there who are interested in the paranormal. This event gives those the opportunity to learn and get an experience like none other!” said Debi Covey, J.I.P.S. Paranormal Lead Supervisor.
Some logistics about the event: the event itself is titled the Central PA-ranormal Convention, a two-day event, held at the Pajama Factory in Williamsport from November 4-5th, 2017. On Saturday, doors will open at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m., with the investigation following from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. On Sunday, doors will open at 9 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.
