Brian M. Ritchie, 56, of Milton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
He was born on August 26, 1970 in Houston, TX and was the son of the late Richard J. Ritchie and Patricia L. (Lowe) who survives of Gettysburg.
On June 21, 2008 Brian married the former Lyudmila V. (Antonyuk) and they celebrated 18 years of marriage together this year.
He was a graduate of West Morris Central High School, Chester, NJ, Class of 1988 and then graduated from Johnson and Wales University, Rhode Island in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and business.
Brian will be remembered for his love of reading as a child and always learning new things. He was a “Dead Head” following the Grateful Dead after high school. He loved to travel to New York City by train and attending concerts and being in the mosh pits were among his favorite activities even as a teenager, he was an avid collector of antiques and pieces of history along with anything militia related. Brian always had an eye for picking out the one big treasure that others passed over. A good hunt at a flea market was a past time he then shared with his children.
Brian found his niche in food service as a teenager and becoming a chef was his passion, starting in the restaurant business at 16 years old. As a family and any close friends, we will all miss Brian in the kitchen cooking for holidays especially Thanksgiving and enjoying the special memories that were made.
In addition to his mother and wife, Brian is survived by two sons; Logan Ritchie and Erik Ritchie both of Milton, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Ann and Dr. Charles Stuart of Harrisburg and Rebecca and Todd Geary of Danville along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Brian’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to a GoFundMe set up to help support his family by visiting https://www.gofundme.com/manage/easing-the-burden-for-brian-ritchies-family
