Richard M. “Red” McKee Sr., 84 of New Columbia, passed away Monday October 19, 2026 at his home.

Born July 4, 1942 in Hughesville, he was a son of the late James and Pauline (Cromley) McKee.  On March 27, 1965 he married the former Linda J. Weaver, and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Red worked at PA House in Lewisburg for over 30 years.  He attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.  Red enjoyed woodworking, fishing in Canada, and visits from his family and friends.

Most of all he loved and cherished all of his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two sons: Richard M. McKee Jr and his wife Candee, and Frank J. McKee and his wife Holly, both of New Columbia; one daughter: Kelly J. Vonada and her husband Allen, of Mifflinburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: James McKee and his wife Pat, of Hughesville, and Larry McKee and his wife Pat, of Muncy; and three sisters: Caroline Wicks, of Williamsport, Barbara Gamble, of Montgomery, and Linda Rose and her husband John, of Hughesville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger McKee.

There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday, October 22 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Ken Paulhamus, officiating.  Burial will follow in Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood.
