Bats in the Belfry Bat Counting Bonanza Begins this Week!

They’re baaaaaack — and this year, they’re hiding in plain sight.

Every October, something Halloween-y finds its way to the pages of Webb Weekly. This year, it seems the bats have escaped the belfry and taken up residence throughout the paper. Your mission? Find them. Count them. And tell us how many you spotted.

Think you can find them all? We’ve made this year’s hunt extra sneaky, so you’ll want to check every page — even the ads. Especially the ads.
How It Works

Our Halloween Bats will be hiding throughout both the October 14th and October 21st editions of Webb Weekly.

Count all the bats you find in both issues, add your totals together, and send us your answer. We’ll collect all the correct entries and draw 10 lucky winners from the bunch.

And what do they win? A candy bucket packed with enough Halloween treats to make any kid very, very popular.

How to Enter
🦇 Email: Send your answer to contest@webbweekly.com
🦇 Mail: Send a postcard to Webb Weekly, 280 Kane St., Suite 2, South Williamsport, PA 17702
🦇 Drop it off: Stop by our office Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or Friday until about 1 p.m.

Entries must be received by around noon on October 23rd. Winners will be announced in the October 28th edition, and we’ll contact the winners directly — so there’s no need to sit beside the mailbox waiting for a mysterious owl.

The Fine Print (Because Every Good Halloween Hunt Has Some)
🍬 The contest is open to kids 12 and under.
🍬 One entry per child.

And there’s an extra treat hiding in this contest: For every entry we receive, Webb Weekly will donate $1 to a local animal shelter. This year, we’re supporting the SPCA, so every little bat hunter can help some real-life four-legged cuties, too.

Now grab your newspaper, sharpen those counting skills and get hunting. These bats aren’t going to find themselves.

And while you’re in the Halloween spirit, we want to see your costumes, too! Send photos of your little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, witches, monsters — and yes, even the family pets — to webbnews@webbweekly.com or share them with us on Facebook at fb.com/webbweekly.

Get enough great costumes, and your little monster might even end up on a future Webb Weekly cover. Instant bragging rights. 🎃

Happy hunting — and may the best bat counter win!
