In 2019, the Lock Haven Labor Day Regatta was named the best race site in the United States by the American Power Boat Association (APBA). The award, presented at the APBA end-of-year banquet, recognized the location for its overall race quality, atmosphere, and attendance.

This was the first time the Lock Haven Regatta received the “Best Site of the Year” award.

Lock Haven consistently hosts the largest powerboat race in the U.S., with boat counts exceeding 500 entries in some years.

Many teams treat this as a seasondefining event in conjunction with the Delaware Valley Outboard Racing Association (DVORA) and the American Power Boat Association (APBA).

Labor Day weekend in Lock Haven is one of the biggest racing weekends of the year nationwide, and it promises to be pretty entertaining, filled with plenty of fun and excitement.
