The proud river community of Lock Haven will be pulsing with excitement that includes art, music and a wide variety of entertainment when LH JAMS takes place August 6, 7 and 8.
“The entire LH JAMS festival offers the very best of music, downtown restaurant cafe seating, premier food truck experiences, Straub beer and Oregon Hill winery, with constant entertainment from street performers, chalk artists, demonstrating artists and exciting fine art and craft vendors who will line the streets. You’ll find everything from paintings to duck carving, tie-dye to finely crafted bangles of semi-precious stones, or hand-thrown pottery,” Steve Getz, one of the organizers of LH JAMS, told Webb Weekly.
According to Getz, demonstrating artists will be happy to explain their work as they actively create on the streets of Lock Haven — all of which will provide family-friendly fun for all who attend.
LH LAMS is a bring-your-own-chairs type of event, but for everyone’s safety, no coolers or drinks are permitted to be carried into the area’s closed perimeter.

Thursday, August 6th: Rockin’ the Red Barn – 6-10 p.m.
This is a fund-raiser for the (The Clinton County Arts Council) scholarship and educational programs and our only ticketed event. It will be held at the 1900 Red Barn venue. This year, the James Supra Band will entertain the crowd with doors opening at 6 p.m.. James is an award- winning blues and rock musician who plays a wide variety of rock and blues favorites. His arrangements of WAR’s ‘Low Rider’ and Jethro Tull’s ‘Locomotive Breath’ will go beyond your expectations.

Friday, August 7th: “The Block Party”- 5-10:30 p.m.
Features two of the best Central Pennsylvania party bands; first on stage, Ted McCloskey and the Hi-Fi’s, then enjoy the ever- popular “Velveeta” playing 80’s and 90’s covers late into the night. Enjoy craft and food vendors, cafe seating with Straub Brewery and Oregon Hill Winery, and food vendors for the entire weekend. Entry is free to the public.
Saturday, August 8th: Six great bands perform from Noon-10:30 p.m.
LHJAMS Main Street festival goes all day long and closes with the “Dancing in the Street Party.” Art, food, drink, and street performers blend with the music to offer the best entertainment in a beautiful setting.
Kicking off the Saturday music festivities will be student performers: Central Mountain Jazz Cats. These talented musicians from Central Mountain High School open the festival every year. This is one way the arts council can showcase and support the arts for youth in our area.
Then, swing on into the afternoon with the Prohibition-style jazz band “Baby Soda” directly from Brooklyn, NY. Next up, Philly’s own Fishtown funk and soul band “The Groove Merchants” perform their “tireless, faithful, throw-down grooves…”, followed by New Jersey’s full-energy band, “The Unstoppable Hack Beats,” making their second appearance at LH JAMS.
Our “Dancing in the Street Party” closes out the festival with two outstanding bands: “Diana Jacobs Band” is a 10-piece pop and blues band out of Upstate NY. Highlighted by Diana’s thrilling vocals, they play a range of work such as Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ to ‘Ball and Chain’ made popular by the likes of Janis Joplin and Etta James.
New York City’s EPICSOUL closes out the festival with a 10-piece premier party band, featuring phenomenal horn and percussion sections and three powerhouse vocalists who perform soul-stirring Motown medleys and today’s R&B, pop, rock, and contemporary hits, spanning six decades of some of the most popular iconic American music.
This last performance of the festival is the Clinton County Arts Council’s annual collaboration with the city’s Lock Haven Summer Concert Series to bring outstanding cultural entertainers to Central Pennsylvania.
The three stages on the streets of Lock Haven will provide wall-to-wall free music during the night on Friday and throughout the day on Saturday.

New this year, the festival’s own Strolling Minstrels, which features a full roster of talented musicians, will walk the festival and enter restaurants to bring softer musical selections into every corner of the event. They will also perform at the newly added “Quiet Side Stage” — separate from the two large stages on Main Street.
