John W. Corson, Jr., 87, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the Williamsport Home.  His wife Gloria passed away April 30, 2025.

   He was born on May 18, 1939 in Milton and was the son of John (Jack) and Mary Louise Kelley Corson.

   John was a graduate of Williamsport High School and Lock Haen University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education.  John taught his entire career in the Williamsport School District.  John served his country with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Oval Church, Kawanis and the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Penn State football.

   He is survived by two children, Kelley (Dwayne) Wasson and Jeffrey (Sandy) Corson.   he has three grandchildren, Jeremy Corson, Jersey Shore, Katelynn Wasson, Avis and Matthew (Kinlea) Wasson, Jersey Shore and he has two great grandchildren, Layla Wasson and Adaline Wasson; two brothers, Paul Corson, Indian Lake, PA and Robert (Karol) Corson, Grand Blanc, MI.

   Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at Oval Church, 6796 PA-44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740 with Reverend David Brenneman officiating.  Burial will be private in Oval Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday at Oval Church from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
