Lisa M. Carlin, 53
Lisa M. Carlin, 53, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 5, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family at the Gatehouse.

Born on September 11, 1972, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Yvonne (Yahner) Carlin of Montoursville.

Lisa was a 1990 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Most recently, she worked as an office assistant at UPMC. However, the place that always held a special place in her heart was Purity Candy, where she began working at just 16 years old. Over the years, she also served the students of the Montoursville Area and Loyalsock Township School Districts as both a paraprofessional and librarian.

Above all else, Lisa cherished being a mother. Her daughter, Torirose, was truly the light of her life, and there was nothing she loved more than supporting her in every endeavor. Whether cheering from the stands at basketball games, attending school concerts and plays, volunteering at school events, or simply celebrating life’s everyday moments, Lisa embraced every opportunity that came with the title of “Mom.”

Lisa had a gift for making people feel welcome. She loved crafting, gathering with family and friends, and opening her home to neighbors and loved ones during the holidays. Outgoing, kindhearted, and known for her warm smile, she had a way of brightening every room she entered.

Sunflowers were among Lisa’s favorite things, and they perfectly reflected the way she lived her life. Like a sunflower that continually turns toward the light, Lisa remained hopeful and positive even during life’s darkest moments. Following her cancer diagnosis, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage, grace, and determination, fighting each day with unwavering strength and an inspiring spirit that touched everyone around her.

In addition to her mother, Yvonne Carlin of Montoursville, Lisa is survived by her beloved daughter, Torirose Harley Carlin; a brother, Brian Carlin (Michelle) of Montoursville; and a niece, Abbegail Carlin; nephews, Logan and Brock Mayer.

A time of remembrance to honor Lisa’s life will be held 6 p.m., Friday, July 10 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. until time of sharing Friday at Sanders. A private burial will held in Resurrection Cemetery.

One of the traditions closest to Lisa’s heart was the annual lemonade stand she organized with Torirose during the South Williamsport community yard sales. Together, they raised funds each year for the Lycoming County SPCA, combining their love of animals with their desire to help others. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
