Thomas and Joyce Berkheimer of Lewisburg, passed away together on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family.
Thomas was born in Lewisburg on June 22, 1950 to the late Albert J. and Dorothy E. (Hulsizer) Berkheimer. Joyce was born April 11, 1952 in Lewisburg to the late Ralph W. and Faylene L. (Foust) Panabaker
Thomas, affectionately known as “Pap,” loved spending time outdoors fishing and sitting around a campfire, always happiest when surrounded by nature and those he loved. Joyce, lovingly known as “Nanny,” had a passion for crafting and cherished days spent at the beach collecting seashells. Together, they shared 36 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Their love had no bounds, and though they were Nan and Pap to their own family, they filled that role for many close friends and loved ones as well.
They were preceded in death by their beloved sons, Jarrett Berkheimer and Matthew Berkheimer.
Thomas is survived by his three brothers, and Joyce is survived by her three sisters. They are lovingly remembered by their daughters, Nicole Chiari-Mayorga and her husband, Jose, and Tiffany Berkheimer Halcomb and her husband, Rick.
They leave behind their cherished grandchildren: Taylor Stank and her fiancé, Abraham; Alex Chiari and his fiancée, Kirstie; Bailey Parker and his fiancée, Travis; and Hailey, Harlow, and Harrison Halcomb.
They are also survived by their beloved great-grandchildren: Macie, Mateo, and Ailany, children of Taylor and Abraham, and Gwendolyn, daughter of Alex and Kirstie.
They will be dearly missed by many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by their love and kindness.
Though their passing leaves an immeasurable void, their family takes comfort in knowing they are together still—united in peace just as they were in life. They will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation for Thomas and Joyce on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 5 to 7:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown.
