Edward J. Keller, Jr., known affectionately to many as Eddie, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at WeCare at Sycamore.

He was born on September 22, 1949, in Williamsport, the beloved son of the late Edward J. Keller and Mary L. (Doebler) Keller. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Robert E. Keller, Jean M. Woodring, and Joan Keller, as well as his nephew, Danny Keller.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy L. Paulhamus, and her husband, Paul; his brothers, Howard L. Keller and Rick Keller and his wife, Roxane; his brother-in-law, Bob Woodring; his nephew, Jake Keller; his niece, Melissa Keller; and his great-niece, Maliyah Williams. Eddie also leaves behind extended family members and friends, many through his stay with Hope Enterprises. The staff at WeCare of Sycamore were family to Eddie, and he loved being there so much, that when he went in for rehabilitation, he never wanted to leave. Each of them is held in high regard for the care, comfort, and companionship they gave him.

Eddie had a remarkable gift for remembering people. He was amazing at recalling who you were, and he would always ask about your family and your life.

Among Eddie’s favorite things were cows and Pepsi, two simple pleasures that brought him joy. He also loved dogs and cats. Music was another source of happiness for him, especially singing. He knew all the lyrics to the Christian hymns played at WeCare, and he joined in with a spirit that lifted those around him.

Eddie will be remembered as a kind and sweet soul whose presence brightened the lives of others, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he deeply touched.

Services for Eddie will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
