David Bruce Fry, 67, of Cogan Station, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at UPMC Williamsport.
Sweethearts since the age of 15, he was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Bartley) Fry, with whom he shared 42 cherished years of marriage.
Dave graduated from South Williamsport High in 1977 then went on to Trade School to learn masonry. He worked 45 years as a subcontractor.
He was a hardworking craftsman and talented woodworker who took great pride in his home, of which reflects all his creativity. He cherished time spent with his family who he deeply loved and relished in his role as “Papa”.
Anybody who knew him, knew he was quite the jokester, teasing them for a laugh. Aside from his work and hobbies, David loved spending time grilling with his family, and countless evenings around the campfire at their home on the mountain. You could always find Dave tinkering in the garage on one of his many projects or out and about with his wife running errands together, they were inseparable.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fry is survived by his daughters, Amber McCusker (Andru) of South Williamsport and Brittany Fry of Cogan Stations; granddaughters, Savannah Foulkrod and Railynn McCusker; and sister, Brenda Lewis (Oliver) of Williamsport.
Mr. Fry was also preceded in death by his brother, Martin “Marty” Fry.
A service to honor Dave’s life will take place at 11 am on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, where a visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of his service.
Burial to follow the service at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Montoursville.
