Thomas F. Frantz, 83, of Linden passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
Born April 19, 1942 in Williamsport he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Vivian L. (Hess) Frantz.
Tom was a graduate of South Williamsport High School, Class of 1960. He dedicated 32 years of service to Textron in Williamsport before retiring in 1997, though retirement never slowed him down. Over the years, he also worked part time at P. Stone, Inc., Wild Rose, and Kellington. A true jack of all trades, Tom enjoyed staying busy and continued to work simply because he loved it. He was a life member of the former First Ward Fire Company, now the South Williamsport Fire Department, where he proudly served since 1959. He was a past Vice President, Trustee, and Captain during his tenure with the fire department. He was a wealth of knowledge and admirable type of man with strong values. Tom also served his community as a Woodward Township Supervisor for six years. Known as a hardworking provider, he valued responsibility, honesty, and a job well done. In quieter moments, he enjoyed the simple moments with a game of solitaire, but above all else, Tom’s greatest joy and love were his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Linda (Yukalavich) Frantz; his children, Joseph Frantz (Sonya) of Collomsville, Charmaine Morrill (Greg) of Rochester New Hampshire, Paul Frantz (Jody) of Avis, and Melanie Rosand of Avis; 12 grandchildren, Derek, Erik, Brittany, Megan (Jeremy), Logan (Sam), Andrew, Paige (Seth), Mackenzie, Justine, Caleb, Brenden, and Alayna; seven great-grandchildren, Dean, Sophia, Charlotte, Giovanni, Leon, Gabriella, and Olivia; his siblings, Donna R. Kennedy (James) of Vero Beach, FL, Rodney B. Frantz (Gloria) of Muncy, Candice L. Walters of Allenwood, David W. Frantz (Joyce) of Jersey Shore, and Robin K. Lindenmuth (Steven) of Montoursville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori A. Frantz on September 19, 2021.
