Songs keep coming to Scott Schell… and now his music students, too!
“Down Home Furry Friends” includes “student-inspired” compositions and performances. This marks Schell’s 34th online CD recording!
The professional 16-song record is now available on all digital sites. It features renditions of Schell’s “happy-go-lucky” tunes for the young at heart, along with several students’ songs.
Quillan Lyons, a Montoursville guitar student, adds “Fifteen at Last” and “Leoni’s Spaghetti” to the album. Liam Conner wrote and performed an original piano piece, “Serenity Street.” Bobbi Wirth sings a wonderful harmony backing Schell’s “Dog Parade.”
Charles Gizenski, from Loyalsock, debuts “Mac and Cheese,” a toe-tapping delight. Vivian Gizenski’s “When I Dance” inspired Schell’s previous online recording of the same name!
Scott Schell, a private music teacher in Loyalsock, introduces songwriting to students.
“Many have a hidden talent and can learn to develop it!”
Schell has developed an online reputation as a professional and prolific songster. His claim to fame, “Think I’ll Buy a Basset Hound,” received a multitude of downloads, likes, and acclaim among all ages.
The “Down Home” recording also recognizes special local people and places. The story of Dincher and Dincher is featured in “Famous Tree Trimmers.” The historic “Coney Island,” a restaurant in Shamokin, PA, also inspired Scott’s palate and pen! Schell’s famous dog, Fletcher, nearly 15 years old, adorns the cover with neighbor dog, Lily. “God has a Plan for the Friend of Man” refers to the fond regard and love of pets!
Several other persons are credited with making “Down Home Furry Friends” a reality:
Stacie Sprechini’s photo and editing presented the project with a special touch. Scott’s multi-talented student, Jayden Brown, gave the cover a creative boost. We can’t forget the efforts of the many parents who bring their kids to lessons faithfully each week, and we also recognize all students, who have become a cornerstone of Schell Music Lessons!
