Richard “Dick” Lorah, 94

Richard “Dick” Lorah, 94, of Watsontown, went to be with his maker on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Leighton Place, Williamsport.

Born June 30, 1932 in Montoursville he was a son off the late Willard and Kay (Shipman) Lorah. On August 15, 1951 he married the former Shirley Denoskey at the Watsontown United Methodist Church.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Air Force as a dental technician. Dick was stationed in both Frankfurt and Berlin, Germany. He worked and retired from Chemcut Corp in State College, where he was an international sales agent for 20 years, traveling world-wide for the company. He also worked for Rotech Corp, in Mifflinburg.

Dick was an avid Metal Detectorist for over 50 years, attending yearly coin hunts throughout the state with his two friends Harold McCollin and Paul Klapp. He was a life member of the Watsontown American Legion Post 323, Milton VFW Post 1665, the Loyal Order of the Moose and AARP. He was also involved in the Watsontown Jaycee Organization.

In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his son, Kim Lorah, of Watsontown.

Besides his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Grover McKee.

In keeping with Dick’s wishes there will be no services, and burial will be held at the discretion of the family.
