The Lycoming County Brotherhood Alliance (LCBA) is seeking the public’s help to nominate individuals in our communities who make a dramatic impact and live a life of service to others, without compensation or expectation of anything in return.
The LCBA Board of Directors recognizes that there are many individuals in our community who make a difference in the lives of others and are often overlooked, yet they do not seek recognition for their actions. Instead, they act out of a genuine love for people and a deep concern for the overall well-being of mankind. These UNSUNG HEROES can be found in churches, synagogues, schools, PTAs, service clubs, private clubs, lunchrooms, kids’ clubs, amongst our neighbors, and many other numerous places that we might not be aware of.
CRITERIA
An UNSUNG HERO is an individual in Lycoming County who would normally not be recognized, nor would expect to be recognized. This is an individual who isn’t working or serving in an executive position of a business, organization, or service club that serves others. This is an individual who participates in a private activity or a variety of activities (i.e. church, vacation bible schools, cafeterias, school, community centers, sports fields, fire companies, boy/girl scouts, kids’ camps, parks, playgrounds, neighborhoods, etc.) that is beneficial to the lives of the people and community in which he or she serves. The Brotherhood seeks individuals who are humble in character and not seeking recognition or payment for an occupation that serves others. This is someone with a heart for volunteerism who, by their service to others, exemplifies the true meaning of brotherhood.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS
Please send us the name, address, phone number, and email of the person you are nominating, a description of the reasons they make an impact in your life or the lives of others, and why you feel they should receive recognition. Please include your name, address, phone number, and email so we can contact you should the LCBA need additional information. Submissions should be emailed to lycomingcobrotherhood@gmail.com or sent via USPS to: Lycoming County Brotherhood Alliance, PO Box 1884, Williamsport, PA 17703. Be sure to include UNSUNG HERO AWARD in the subject line. All submissions must be postmarked or dated on or before December 31, 2025. Submissions received after this date will be too late for consideration in 2026, but may still be considered in 2027.
