Barbara “Barb” A. Harding, 89

Barbara “Barb” A. Harding, 89, of Hughesville, died Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Edenbrook North. Born July 18, 1936, in Warrensville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Bower and Martha (Sands) Bower. Barb married her husband, Robert S. Harding, on October 8, 1959, and the two shared 56 loving years together until his passing in 2016.

Barbara spent much of her life as a homemaker who took pride in caring for her children and working on the family farm. She also worked as a bus driver for over 25 years. In her free time, she loved driving the Oliver tractors on the farm, tending to beef cattle, sheep, chickens and pigs. She enjoyed watching rodeos and tractor pulls. She was also a lover of animals, especially her beloved Springer Spaniel, Angie, and her horse, Trixie.

Surviving are two daughters, Kristie (William) Walters of Unityville and Cathy (Lorraine Budnick) Harding of Plymouth; and two grandchildren, Wesley and Casandra Walters.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Harding, her parents Charles and Martha Bower, sisters Agnes Bower, Ellen Baer, Irene Bower, Hazel Fullmer, brothers Jacob, David, Willard and Harold (Nub) Bower.

A funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home – Hughesville, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, Pennsylvania, with Rev. David B. Guenin officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA, 17701.
