Francis Eugene Winkelman III, 44, of Renovo, passed away on July 2, 2025. Born on July 14, 1980, Francis lived a life rooted in love, curiosity, and connection to the world around him.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Francis found peace in nature—fishing along the river, foraging for mushrooms and leeks, and gardening. He had a collector’s soul and took joy in gathering coins, pocketknives, and sneakers, etc.
Francis had a gift for working with his hands. Whether through crafts or masonry, he created with care and intention. His work reflected his character, solid, thoughtful, and uniquely his own.
A social butterfly, Francis had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a natural ability to connect. He was a friend to all, remembered for his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Chloe Embick, Camden Embick, Toby Dauberman, and Francis Winkelman; his siblings, Bobby Winkelman, Curtis Winkelman, Jason Winkelman, Emily Kinney (Winkelman), Amy Wybieracki, and Monica Gilbert (Wybieracki); and his parents, Rose and Francis Winkelman. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced and held privately for family and close friends.
Francis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.
