James A. Daly Jr., 82, a longtime resident of Williamsport passed away at WeCare at Sycamore on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
He was born in Pittsburgh on November 7, 1942, born a 1 ½ pound preemie with his twin Jerome, who died at birth, Jim was a miracle child, he spent months in the Pittsburgh Hospital gaining enough weight until he could come home.
Jim attended elementary school at St. Boniface Catholic School, went onto attend Curtin Junior High School and graduating from Williamsport High School. He starting his working history at the former Carroll House and then went into banking, starting at the former Northern Central Bank, Keystone Financial and then M & T Bank, for a short period he worked at the former Greenthumb and then to CareerLink, his final employment was at the former Susquehanna Health in Central Supply where he retired.
He had been a member of active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister for many years and later becoming an active member of First United Methodist Church with his wife, Susan.
An animal lover, he had many cats and dogs throughout his life, his last dog being his beloved Kiley.
Surviving are his daughter, Erin E. Daly; son, Patrick J. Daly and sister, Judy Noble, all of Williamsport.
In addition to his parents and his twin brother, his wife, the former Susan J. (Briel) Daly and sisters, Kathleen McNamara and Mary Ellen Audet all preceded him in death.
The family will receive family and Friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport from 1 to 1:30 Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
A funeral service will follow at the funeral home, 1:30 Wednesday with the Rev. Rick Waters officiating, burial to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
