Beatrice E. “Bea” McCue, 88

Beatrice E. “Bea” McCue, 88, of Shunk, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Darway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born February 6, 1937, in West Grove, Pa., she was a daughter of John and Eva (Boyd) Jackson. She and her late husband, Earl B. McCue, who passed in 1990 shared a wonderful life together. Bea enjoyed dancing, teaching line dancing in the Forksville area, crocheting and quilting. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper for Victim Services, Beinlich Lumber, and was a former township secretary for Elkland Township in Sullivan County.

She is survived by her sister, Burnus E. (James) Needham, of Avondale, and close friend, Joan N. Moore, of Towanda.

In addition to her parents Bea was preceded in death by her fiancé, Lawrence Frey; two brothers, Burton, and Basil Jackson; and two sisters, Bertha and Rose Jackson.

Bea will be laid to rest privately beside her late husband, Earl, in the Kemblesville Cemetery, Kemblesville, Pa. Arrangements are under the direction and care of McCarty-Thomas Funeral Homes, Inc., 119 Carpenter St, Dushore, PA 18614.
