D. William “Bill” Claudfelter, 85

D. William “Bill” Claudfelter, 85, of Trout Run, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport.

He was born on February 8, 1939 in Montgomery and was the son of the late Dorsey Claudfelter and Elizabeth (Grady) Claudfelter Capozzi. Bill graduated from North-Mont High School in Turbotville in 1957. He had served his country by enlisting in the US Army. He worked and retired after 20 years from Schnadig Upholstery. Bill was a member of the Trout Run Volunteer Fire Dept and EMT, VFW Post 3428, Arnot Sportsmen’s Association, Pennsylvania Trappers Association and Red Run Rod & Gun Club. He was also a life member of the American Legion, Post 0323 Watsontown.

Surviving Bill is his companion of 21 years; Delores (Laudenslager) Brewer, one son; Glenn W. Claudfelter (Janet) of Conway, SC, two daughters; Jacqueline E. Claudfelter of White Deer and Debra L. Hurlburt (Herb) of Watsontown, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters; Patricia Goodheart (Steven) and Doris Yeager, all of North Carolina one nephew and three nieces.

There will be a public viewing 10 – 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Minister Ellie Benna will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Cogan House Cemetery with military honors.
