Jean L. Starr, 85, of Watsontown, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at her home.
Born June 28, 1939 in Washingtonville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Furman) Moser. On February 18, 1961 she married Donald L. Starr and they celebrated 49 years of marriage until his death May 9, 2010.
Jean was a 1957 graduate of Milton High School and had worked at JPM, Lewisburg for over 30 years.
She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid fan of Penn State Football, the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley Bastian and her husband Marley and Janet L. Fisher, all of Watsontown; four grandchildren: Evelyn, Michael, Amanda, and Audra; two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Alaina; a brother, Richard Moser of Northumberland and a sister, Barbara Trawitz and her husband Russell in San Antonio, TX.
Preceding her in death beside her husband and parents was a son, Donald L. Starr, Jr.; a daughter, Royle I. DelGrandi; a son-in-law, David Fisher; and a sister, Joan Hilborn.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main St., Watsontown where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jason King of Friendship Baptist Church, Watsontown, officiating. Burial will be held privately in Watsontown Cemetery.
