Richard G. “Rick” Davenport, 65, of Watsontown, and formerly of South Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born April 9, 1959, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Richard G. and Joan M. (Kline) Davenport.

Rick attended South Williamsport schools and later served honorably in the United States Armed Forces. He worked for many years as a welder at the former New Columbia Joist Company.

Rick formerly served as a volunteer fireman for the South Williamsport Fire Department.

He enjoyed shooting pool and woodworking.

Surviving are one sister, Barbara A. Davenport; one nephew, Derick T. Smith; and one niece, Sonya M. Smith.

Memorial Services are being planned and will be announced by the family.
