David W. Lentz, 67, of Allentown, formerly of Williamsport, died suddenly Thursday, May 30, 2024, in his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. “Liz” Lentz to whom he was married 19 years. Born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, David was the son of the late Wesley B. Lentz and Marian (Avery) Schaefer of Montoursville and her husband, the late Frederick C. Schaefer, Jr. He faithfully and honorably served in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era. David was in corporate management for Kraft Foods, Inc., Glenview, Il for 26 years before retiring in 2006. He has been co-owner & operator for TJMK Enterprises and Two Dudes, LLC, Allentown since 2005. He was a member of the former Western Lehigh Lions Club, Red Bend Hunting Club, and St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Survivors: In addition to his wife and mother; son, Jonathan D. Lentz and his wife, Kayla of Montoursville; daughter, Amber Marie Lentz at home; brother, Douglas B. Lentz and his wife, Pamela of Indianland, SC; sister, Sandra Lentz Strother and her husband, Roderick of Hughesville; grandchildren, Nolan and Laurel Lentz; cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service: A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024 at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1400 Market Street, Williamsport with Pastor Jeff LeCrone officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church. Private interment. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
